Florida-based design, engineering and manufacturing contractor with construction projects throughout the US is currently seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance/Test & Trials Technician to develop, establish and enforce applicable quality assurance and test/inspection standards. Must be “hands on” and able to plan, develop and execute required quality and test planning program for projects assigned, to include test procedure, memo and record generation for all preliminary inspections, dockside tests and sea trials. Will be responsible to lead and demonstrate all required tests to regulatory authorities and Owner, as applicable. Position is initially a short-term (4-6 month) project, with offer of full-time, long term position based on performance, desire and ability to travel. EXPERIENCE WITH SHIPBUILDING, OFFSHORE PLATFORM CONSTRUCTION OR SIMILAR MARINE PROJECTS IS A MUST. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package to the selected individual.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, Construction or related field desired. Direct shipboard or shipyard experience will be strongly considered in lieu of a degree on a case-by-case basis; 5 years demonstrated QA experience required; proven record of developing and implementing QA and testing processes; marine industry experience with Government or commercial agencies (USN, ABS, DNV, USCG, etc.) desired; functional knowledge of QA/test standards & practices; knowledge of MS Office applications; attention to detail; excellent written and oral communication skills.
